Do you know what your whole product is?

Many business owners are fascinated with what their product or service is. Many times, it is a very good and worthwhile product or service. Unfortunately, as entrepreneurs, we tend to miss a very big component of our product and/or service and that is the experience. What I mean is, the experience that your customers enjoy, in addition to the product and/or service that you are delivering. As an example, look closer at Starbucks. Would you say their product is coffee… or is it the experience? Starbucks delivers both and very well I may add.

What is your promise to your client or customer? How far is your business from that promise? Do you see the gap? That is where you need to go to work.

In fact, are you adding value to your customer or client? If you are not, then your customer will probably find another vendor to provide them with their needs. Remember, that they came to you because they perceived added value by coming to you.

Let’s put it this way. Ideally, if you were the customer, how happy would you be with your own product or service? Is there anything missing? Ponder on these questions and act on them. Your business will be better for it!
